This is Rick Schellhardt, pastor of Summit LIFE. We're excited about the area of harvest God has called us to here in Lees Summit. With our city's population nearing 90,000 now, our 4th high school is now on the drawing board (yet we still only have one Walmart - go figure! lol). We have five Starbuck's, and growing (not that I know where all five are - since I'm not a coffee drinker. (grin)). We are surrounded by 6 lakes (4 of which are residential lakes). We have great shopping and dining, and we're only 20 minutes from the Plaza (more great shopping and dining). Our city limits contain over 64 sq. miles of land (3rd largest in the state of MO), with only 30 currently developed so far. Our population is projected to max out at 175,000 over the next 20 - 25 years. This is very exciting to us as a new church here. We thank God everyday for sending us here!
